The Breedlove Custom Shop is a form of efficient manufacturing custom instruments from a broad variety of styles and musical genres. The process is largely the same for a mandolin, guitar, or electric and uses a team of specialists for each stage of the building process. Our Production Manager, Matt Slothower, links the people, the process and the quality from each department together. The beauty of this system is that it allows each client to select every part of their instrument, personalize it and be assured that every aspect of the instrument will turn out at the highest level of workmanship in an efficient manner at a competitive price.
We have a highly diverse menu of tonewoods, electronics, custom options, finish styles, inlay patterns, custom artwork, hardware, and etcetera. This style is called mass customization and this is what most people think of when they speak of the present and history of Breedlove Guitar Company.
