I bought my Breedlove SD20X over 1`2 years ago. I've owned and played just about everything over the years, am very critical of instruments and I still haven't played a guitar that is even close to this one. I've played this one in bands, as a solo, and under just about every condition you reasonably could play a guitar. This dreadnought is a traditional X-brace guitar and there is still absolutely no belly under the bridge. Except for some attractive deepening of the tone of the spruce top, this guitar shows no sign of wear. It is one of the few guitars that I've ever owned that I absolutely refuse to sell. I simply have never played anything that sounds this good or feels this solid. I did do a bit of setup work on the guitar to suit it to my particular playing style, but that's it.

I've had the Breedlove for several months now and it has renewed my interest in playing. I'm nearly 59 years old and started playing at around 15. I'm not a pro and really only play for my own enjoyment, though my grandkids think I'm pretty good. I went into Joe's Island Music (a fantastic place by the way)in Langley, WA on Whidbey Island to get a t-shirt and ended up with the Breedlove. If you play one of these things you'll see what happens. I've had a Gibson J-45 for nearly 40 years years and I do love it, but I'm afraid it's gathering dust. The Breedlove plays easier and sounds better. Be warned...if you don't think you need another guitar, don't sit down a play one of these.

I Absolutely LOVE this guitar. I was set on buying a Taylor, every single guitar that I tried had me going back to it. Until i tried this BEAUTY out. It looks gorgeous, plays like a dream and sounds PERFECT. It was exactly the guitar I was looking for, no regrets, no criticisms, I wouldn't change ANYTHING about this guitar.

I bought my Breedlove in September of 2008 (our 20th wedding anniversary) after almost a year of looking for a reasonably priced good quality acoustic-electric guitar. I played Taylor, Martin, Epiphone, Seagull, and other moderately priced guitars before I happened upon the Breedlove. Of all the guitars that I played, this is the only one that really spoke to me. The guitar is very expressive and it sounds great through my Marshall AS100D amp. I play mostly at church, and I constantly receive compliments on the sound of the guitar. I have been playing guitar for over 30 years, and I have never owned an instrument with the look, the feel, and the full bass response of this guitar. It even sounds great when it is capo'd! It has been a wonderful addition to my instrumental arsenal. Thanks for a great sounding reasonably priced guitar. It is a good feeling to know that you don't have to be rich to have a beautiful instrument that sounds great.

I researched forever to find the right mandolin, I saw the Quartz ff over a year ago and I knew I had to have it. The workmanship, tone and playability are beyond anything else near to or far above its price range. If you are looking for a high end quality Mandolin that won't break the bank this instrument is for you!

I was given this '04 AC25sm a little more than four years ago, as a college freshman, and I had never heard of Breedlove before. I was kind of skeptical when I first saw it and couldn't decide if I liked the styling or not. However, playing it showed that there was nothing to be skeptical about with the tone. To be honest, I had no idea that a guitar well under $1,000 could sound even half this good. The tone on this instrument has grown richer and more beautiful every year. Even if I get other guitars (probably a collection of Breedloves), I intend to keep this one for as long as I live. Long story short, after four years, and two months with this guitar, I've never been more in love with it and will probably never be less in love with it.

OK, I am the worst procrastinator and scrutinizer you will ever meet. When I decided to buy a high end acoustic for fingerstyle guitar I literally spent years looking and played every model of guitar out there and have been in nearly every high end shop I could find on my GPS in 5 different states. I have played them all, Martins, Taylors, Webbers (also very good), Matons, Cole Clark, Larrivees, Gibsons....all of em, and also ones from custom builders going for over 10 grand. Then.....THEN I was in a shop trying out a Taylor 314ce for the hundredth time and the owner said here try this one........it was the BREEDLOVE FOCUS SE, redwood top, ebony fret, indian rosewood side. It looked great, felt great, played great and the sound is bar none, the best I have ever heard come out of a guitar. The intonation is perfect, did I mention it is the best sounding guitar I have ever heard. Did I also mention it plays better than any guitar I have ever played. This thing is THE EPITOMY of what a great guitar should be. Every night when I take it out of the case it sounds better than the night before. It is extremely responsive to fingerstyle. Even if you bump the thing on the stand, the open strings sound great. I cannot find a single thing wrong with this and I looked and looked hard. It is perfect. I also had the opportunity to compare it side by side to the taylors, martins etc which was the best test I could have done. The breedlove Focus SE sounds so much better than the others that people in the shop were laughing when we listened to them side by side. The breedlove made the others sound like cheap dept store guitars and those were great sounding guitars when not compared to the Focus SE! I am so satisfied with this guitar and you will be to if you are looking for a great guitar. Whatever these guys at Breedlove guitars are doing, they are doing it right. Thanks Breedlove, your craftmanship is greatly appreciated!

I am in the 1st Armored Division Band currently in Iraq and decided to get my guitar chops up to speed. I am a sax player. I bought the passport because it fit my budget on a recommendation from a good friend. I was completely blown away when I received my guitar. The clean, crisp full sound was amazing. I was skeptical because I was buying without playing first, but i trusted my friend, our current guitar player. I don't have anything but praise for this guitar. When it is time to upgrade, the only brand I will go to is Breedlove. This company has made me a happy customer. Great job.

When I opened the case and I saw this beautiful piece of work laying in it, I couldn't help but fall in love. I have never laid hands on such an incredible instrument, one that plays just as well as it looks. The redwood is absolutely gorgeous, and ziricote is indescribeable. The sound is crisp but with the warmth of redwood. The folks at Breedlove really outdid themselves with this! I know I'll have this guitar for the rest of my life. Thank you Breedlove!!

I am 61 years old I have wanted to play a guitar. I have been taking lessons now for three month. All my friends that play guitar, told me to get a Martin or Gibson. I went to the local music store and ask to see his martin acoustic guitars. I ask the store sales person to play it for me; He did and ask me if I have ever heard a Breedlove. My answer was No, only Martin and Gibson. Well he played the same tunes on all three. I really liked the sound of the Breedlove. The Breedlove has a nice soft rich sound. When I was in Viet Nam and when we had some quite time in camp one of the guys used to play his acoustic guitar and I found it had a relaxing effect. That’s when I think got bit by the solo sound of a guitar.

I have recently purchased a breedlove, the 35th anniversary limited edition atlas guitar with KOA back and sides, as well as western cedar top. wow.... i have wanted a koa guitar, but taylor had them for $4-5k which was WAY out of my price range. finally i have an exceptional instrument, only for $1500. the warmth of the tone and clarity of the notes is perfect for both strumming and fingerpicking is amazing. the LR Baggs pick up system is very clean as well. thank you for making a koa guitar, breedlove!

I walked into the Jacksonville Guitar Center the other day thinking I was going to try out a few lower-priced Taylors and Martins, while worrying about being on a low budget. I had an unsettling feeling that I would be hard-pressed to find an acoustic-electric suitable for my taste. After picking up a couple of those, I discovered they weren't as spectacular as I had imagined. My Fender 1000sx seems more pleasing to me. Then, I spied a few very beautifully crafted Breedloves hanging on the wall. I thought, "Wow, check out these flashy fret inlays, and the backing and sides, it's Koa! I wonder how it will feel and sound?" Within about five chords into it, I could hardly believe how powerfully resonant and wonderfully tonal it is. The L.R. Baggs electronics are awesome, and the tuner feature is so incredibly easy! I usually play hard, and it takes everything I throw at it with ease, and doesn't drift out of tune! Off the shelf, this is definitely the finest acoustic-electric in its price range. I placed money down on it today, and I can hardly wait to bring it home! I'm looking forward to a new long and prosperous relationship. My sincere thanks to you Mr. Breedlove.

I had been wondering about getting a new acoustic. My Pastor had an early atlas series and I really liked it except for the neck was a little big for me. This past summer i visited the custom shop and played some AMAZING guitars. I was hooked! I ended up buying a studio level and could not be anymore happier. Its sounds absolutely stunning and plays like a dream. The guys t the shop set them up with the same care and detail as the customs and it shows!

I just bought my Breedlove and had no idea i would. I went my local large guitar shop with the intention to buy a Taylor of which i have owned a few but when i played the Breedlove beside the Taylor there was no comparison, same thing with the Martin i was looking at, not only did it sound better than both but it looks better as well all 3 guitars were comparible as far as money goes so my suggestion to anyone looking would be to blind fold yourself and add a Breedlove into your choice line i promise you it will be a suprise!!!!!

I serve in the United States Navy and am currently deployed to Afghanistan. The first thing I want to do when I get off after working 18-20 hour days is to strum a guitar to relax. I really miss playing my AC25. I purchased it before I left home. The tones and sustain are out of this world. I was surprised at the volume that comes from this instrument as well as the attention to detail and the build quality. I will be saving up to buy another Breedlove down the road, hopefully a Master Class. Thank you Breedlove, for what you do. Perhaps I can visit your factory or maybe even do the Breedlove experience when I get back.

This year I've been fortunate to acquire two Breedlove models; the Performance Focus and Atlas Studio 12 string. The quality and workmanship are second to none. After owning Taylor and Ovation guitars in the past I've been "blown away" by the unique sound and intonation of both Breedloves. They provide just the right balance of tone and power I've been looking for. In addition, the high level of customer service and attention to detail provided by your staff is an example for any industry to follow. Hope to visit Bend,OR in the future!

You have claimed another victim. My senses are still reeling for my first day with her. I became a Taylor Trained luthier in 1973, and I have repaired, built, played, & set-up too many guitars to count. Yesterday, my wife's wonderful gift of her 401K cash-out, financed my Breedlove Focus "D" at Knoxville Tennessee's Guitar Center. I developed an interest in this particular instrument a few months earlier, so at my request, G.C. sent this guitar to Dod, (for a pre-sale tune-up) and he worked his wonderful touch into what I now have in my hot-hands! I have NEVER played a guitar with the responsiveness, feel, and tonal qualities as this Focus has. Projection, clarity, over-tones, sustain, Oh that sustain! Well, suffice it to say I am reddily hooked on Breedlove...Need love? Get a Breedlove! Thanks for all the research and comittment to excellence these guitars represent. I have historically purchased, and then sold every guitar I have built, owned, or traded for. NOT THIS ONE! IT"S A KEEPER! J.A.Zarola Singing Strings Guitars.

I've played on an electric for about seven years now, but when I realized the songs I was writing were taking on a folkier sound, I figured I should get an acoustic guitar. I'd been thinking about which brand to get for a while, and I'd played on a few, but when I stopped in a Guitar Center yesterday, the clerk pulled out an Atlas Series Breedlove. It had a solid cedar top and when I played on it, I fell in love immediately. Singing along with any other guitar up until then had been dismal, but my voice really melded with the deep sound the Breedlove made. And the chromatic tuner works so meticulously, it's an obvious plus! 100% happy with my purchase, thanks Breedlove!

Only took delivery of said guitar yesterday, so still gibbering wreck. In middle of operation to surgically remove guitar from fingers. Seems some-kind of genetical bonding gone has on. Told surgeons to save guitar. Can't believe this box. Been playing 43 years. Just can't stop listening to it. Phenomenal! Thank you, all of you'es, (and you know who you are) so very much. In 05'I purchased my first Breedlove an AD25 and in 06 I purchased my AC25. Both guitars were flawless until I started noticing some cracks in the neck of my AC. I called Breedlove and talked to Chris who was extremely helpful. I sent the guitar to him and got a call 4 days later and Chris said my guitar was being shipped back and all is well. I will tell everyone I know how great a company Breedlove is and I am now a fan for life. Thom Kane PS. Another friend of mine just purchased a new breedlove due to my story of your great customer service. Thanks guys

I have been playing guitar for around 40 years or so. I've had other guitars electric and acoustic, but my Breedlove guitar has to be the best. I play finger style and the action on the instrument was perfect for me straight off the shelf. I won't be looking at any other acoustic guitars as I've found the one I will play, and get real satisfaction from my playing.

I bought this AD20 SR plus about a year ago.I tried out quite a few acoustics in the $500 to $1000 range at a lot of different stores in the area and Breedlove Atlas series allways won out.I could not own a better Acoustic guitar if I had paid twice what I paid for this.It plays like a dream and sounds like nothing else. Now I have to save up for a Americam Breedlove.I own 3 very nice American made electrics and a American made mandolin.None of them are made as well as my Breedlove. Thanks for the extended warranty.

I love your guitars. i have owned Taylors Guild & Martins guitars. I sold them all and will continue with yours. I am a Vineyard pastor and was a worship leader for 10 years. Many people compiment these guitars and I love the playabilty and dependability of these guitars. I play every day and they are a treat. I love the way they "enhance" worship. The Lord delights in the stringed instruments, and these are truly a great instrment for worship.Looking forward to buying more.A live advertisement for you. God bless . . . Pastor Jim Long

I bought my Breedlove about 3 or 4 years ago. I am a Christian Singer/Songwriter and I now have a band. I continuously get compliments about my guitar for sound AND looks. I looked at Martins as well and this guitar was about $600 less than a similarly equipped Martin.... and it's 10x as beautiful. I love the shape and wood texture of the headstock. Mine has Rosewood sides and back, a glossy finish, and clear pick guard. A truely beautiful guitar! If something happened to my Breedlove, I'd buy another! My father, who has played guitar as long as I can remember and has an Ibenez and a Gibson in his "collection" just to name a few, is thinking of buying a Breedlove just like mine because he likes it so much... even better than all his other guitars!

Having began playing guitar at age 15 (now 27) right away I was introduced through gracious gifts of family and friends high end guitars. Because of this I would say I grew up ahead of the game in some sense by being equipped with extraordinary instruments. I have owned both Taylors and Larrivee guitars. What I noticed right off the bat with my Breedlove was the concern for the small things. Even now when I look at Taylor guitars in store brand new, I see seems not fully bound, cracks in joints and horrible fret setups. My breedlove, though far less than any of my other guitars was the first guitar that I have never had to have an initial set up upon purchase. Straight out of the gate it played magnificently. The tone, depth and command it puts forth is inspiring and comforting. I am torn between keeping this model or liquidating items to upgrade to higher model. For now though I am extremely satisfied with the playability and quality that no doubt the luthiers at Breedlove exemplify in their company. Continue to produce great instruments so we can continue to produce great music. Thanks Breedlove!

While blind testing guitars off "The Expensive wall" at local guitar shop. A friend walked up to say hello while I would grab model give a couple of a few strums then hang it back up. After almost being at the end of the wall, one model I grabbed, also grabbed my attention from our conversation. It was a Breedlove, the first one I had ever strummed. It wasn't the most expensive guitar it just sounded like it was. It surely belonged there with the other brand name's that cost much more but give much less. Now one belongs to me..

My best musical purchase ever! I have never been so sure I made the right decision when buying a guitar, pedal, amp or anything music related! Everyone always talks about the "bang for the buck" factor that Breedlove is so well known for. But this was the best sounding guitar in the store hands down. I play this guitar every day. I can't walk by without picking it up. And in the end, isn't that all that matters?

I thought I had lost my Breedlove two weeks ago. I went to play at a small Methodist Church in a twon not far from where I live and one of the other players wanted to try it. So ... like a fool I let her. Then she wanted to buy it, I said no and she was very determined. So I told her where I purchased mine and she was going to Dallas the next day so I got my Breedlove back. I do like it and have changed to softer strings and it plays well and carrys a tone like no other. thanks Mr. Breedlove.

The brood has grown because I am absolutely addicted to the sound and quality of Breedlove guitars. I started out with the AC250/SF PLUS and AJ250/SF-PLUS after falling thoroughly in love with their build quality, visual aesthetics, bright sound and playability. Since the time of my initial Breedlove purchases back in March of 2008, I have acquired the remaining three instruments. Most recently I purchased the Pro C25/CRH and R.Gilewitz 12 because I love the deep resonance of these guitars. Nothing compares to the sensation of not only hearing those rich tones but feeling them as well. I discovered that I must nudge my music stand away from me because the reverberation while I play causes the metal stand to vibrate. Each instrument has its own unique and wonderful voice. You can only play one guitar at a time so the responsible part of my psyche says "Gee, maybe I should sell one of my guitars" Then the guitar player part of me(clearly the dominant element) picks up an instrument to try and decide who(I use "who" because they are family after all) should go. Sorry I just cannot part with any of them.

A year ago I decided to replace a mediocre Suzuki Mandolin that never saw a decent day in its lifetime. The Mandolin Store was a recommended resource. I spoke with Dennis Vance for about an hour over which Mandolin I should get for my budget. He hemmed and hawed quite a bit about his stock (and my budget!), as he wanted me to purchase a Breedlove. I had seen a Blonde finish Breedlove Quartz FF (with a pick-up) on his site and listened to it and "fallen in love" (it was as if the Mandolin was saying, "Buy me, buy me!"), but it was quite out of my budget range. On Thanksgiving morning, Dennis called me and quoted me a price that I could not pass up on. I tossed my budget out the window and a week later, "Blossom" my "Blonde Bombshell" Breedlove Quartz FF Mandolin showed-up. It's been a love affair ever since. I have looked and listened to other Mandolins since. The Breedlove remains the sweetest of the sweet and (budgets aside) a heck of a value for the price. And, when someone offers me a substantial price to purchase "Blossom" from me (her coloring is very unique), I simply give them Dennis' phone number. "Blossom" already has a home...with me! So, to Kim and the Gang there at Breedlove, thanks so much for the wonderful memories you've created for me when you hand-crafted my "Blossom." And, no...you can't have her back!

I got out the credit card for the people at Elderly Instruments about a year and a half ago. It was for an Oregon model mandolin. I had never paid so much for an instrument before so I was a bit apprehensive. Wow! The instrument is worth several times what I paid for it. Such beautiful tone. Such easy playability. When I'm jamming, people want to know the maker of my mandolin. Thank you for the joy you must have built into the instrument. It keeps coming out with the music. Neil VanderVeen

I liked this guitar a lot when I first took possession of it but I really love it now - it has subversively squeezed all my other guitars out the frame of late. Interestingly this one came from backfield because it was one the Breedlove guys thought I might like, as opposed to one I'd selected myself.

S-Series SC20: “I have loved your guitars ever since I can remember. I toured your factory once, and I still remember it - ‘twas a visit to a magical place being a guitar player and woodworker. I am playing more finger style now so I bought an SC20Z from Apple Music in Portland. I now have it at home, and I have picked it up at least four different times today to play it. Simply amazing, although in many ways there is nothing simple about it. The more I play it, the more my amazement of how fine an instrument I have chosen. I am hopelessly spoiled! I am in awe.” – Scott A., Hillsboro, OR
